Welcome to year 12 design
This year’s course requires you to develop your own Independent Production company. The nature of your company can take a number of forms, key concepts that could be explored may centre around a strong personal interest (music, film, dance, fashion, sport, computer games, art), personal standpoint, your place in society, your own culture, the future.
This programme will involve students generating and developing ideas based on 3 assessed areas.
Research and document methods and ideas in the context of a drawing study in Design. 2.1
Generate and develop ideas using drawing processes and procedures in design practice. 2.2
Produce a body of work within Design to show understanding of art-making methods and ideas. 2.3
- During the programme, students will have the opportunity to create their own production company logo, DVD Root Menu, Movie Opening Sequence and Poster.
- Within this programme of study, students will be introduced to a wide range of artists/designers who will inform their work and thinking. and be introduced to key design skills and concepts.
- They will have the opportunity to learn and use Adobe Photoshop Ilustrator & Movie Maker to impact on their final designs.
- They will need to complete 2 folio boards based on their company name and theme. The folio boards will be worked on throughout the year with various formative assessment points scheduled until all work is completed and handed in at the beginning of term 4.
