Learning a language provides many opportunities for critical, creative and logical thinking. Students will develop study and self management skills due to the consistent and progressive nature of learning a language and the frequent need to practice and revise language; continue to build their confidence in using the language by participating in and contributing to a variety of language activities, including peer interactions and self managed on line learning; continue to make connections within the new language and with their own language; and develop and clarify their own values and beliefs and also demonstrate respect and understanding to people whose culture and attitudes may differ from their own.

Course Information

What Knowledge Will I Develop?

Students will be able to respond to and use a wider variety of more complex language. They will be able to organise and analyse language which expresses information and justifies personal opinions and ideas. They will be able to use language variably and effectively in different text types and for different purposes.
