In Engineering Level 2 students further develop communication skills through their use of engineering drawings, and numeracy through working with measurements and calculations. They are able to critically reflect on their progress, develop solutions to manufacturing problems all whilst building on their engineering capabilities and practical skill set from Level 1.

Course Information

What Knowledge Will I Develop?

In this course students will display a range practical engineering skills. Students will be working with different metals and gain an understanding of their properties. They will work with hand and machine tools to work towards completing Computenz projects. The coursework covers a range of subtractive manufacturing techniques, such as turning and milling, as well as basic joining methods, including but not limited to, riveting, threading and welding.
