Food and Nutrition is the study and enjoyment of planning, preparing and serving of food in our normal day to day lives to enhance healthy living. The emphasis is highly based on food safety and hygiene, adolescent nutrition and promotion of healthier food choices.

Course Information

What Knowledge Will I Develop?

The skills developed in Food and Nutrition prepare you for a range of careers in nutrition, food and beverage industry, food science and technology, or hospitality and catering industry. You can be a problem solver including designing new food products that are both convenient and healthy and protecting consumer health. You will also learn about basic nutrition, food hygiene and safe practices and analysing information with food packagaing
