We continued our Language Week Celebrations with Tongan Language Week 4-8 September.

“The theme was “‘E tu’uloa ‘a e Lea faka-Tongá ‘o ka lea’aki ‘i ‘api, siasí (lotú), mo e nofo-’a-kāingá”

“The Tongan Language will be sustainable if used at home, church and in the wider community.”

We had an increase in the number of students coming forward with performances this year which it was awesome to see. We even had a performance from some of our Tongan male students this year showcasing the pride in their culture. Thank you to the families who helped decorate the Hall, we look forward to more language week celebrations in the near future.
