Kī-o-Rahi provided an opportunity for students to connect through a traditional Maaori game while developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

Another highlight was our fry bread making, where aakonga had the opportunity to learn, cook and share kai together. Making fry bread created a relaxed environment for students to connect with each other while learning through doing. The smell of freshly cooked fry bread certainly brought people together!

These activities were about more than simply learning te reo Maaori. They provided opportunities for our aakonga to experience te ao Maaori, build relationships, share kai and celebrate our culture together.

A huge ngaa mihi to all of the aakonga and staff who supported and participated in the activities throughout the week. Your enthusiasm helped make Te Wiki o Te Reo Maaori a positive and memorable celebration across our school.

He waka eke noa – We are all in this waka together.

Bottle Tops Needed!

Our campus neighbours at Parkside School are creating an amazing mural using recycled bottle tops — and we’d love our PHS community to get behind them!

If you have clean, recycled bottle tops at home, please save them and donate them to help Parkside students bring their creative mural to life.

Every bottle top makes a difference!

Let’s show our neighbouring school some PHS support!

Students can drop these into boxes placed in the PHS reception, Student Centre, Q3 Learning Support Office, or the Deans Office until the end of Wk 7, Term 4. Any queries, please contact Chantal Krybolder (KRC).

We’re really excited to invite young athletes, parents and coaches from across New Zealand to a FREE three-part Football Development Series in the lead-up to this year’s Weir Rose Bowl.

You don’t need to be attending Weir Rose to take part – the series is open nationwide.

Across three LIVE online sessions, we’ll explore three important areas of young athlete development – mental performance, lessons from professional sport, and fueling and recovery.

Our guests are Mental Performance Coach Anna Veale, New Zealand international footballer Francis de Vries, and Registered Nutritionist Dr Katie Schofield.

And importantly, these aren’t just presentations. Young athletes, parents and coaches will have the opportunity to ask Anna, Francis and Katie their own questions LIVE.

Every session is completely FREE.
