Students who need to travel more than 4.8km to school will be eligible for free transport on the bus service, provided there is not an alternative school closer to their home that they could be attending.

Otherwise a cost of $100 per term (or $350 per year, if paid by 1 February) will have to be paid to Murphys Buses.

Students that meet the above requirement but have to be driven 2.4km or more to get to the closest bus stop should read 'Reimbursement for driving costs' as they may be eligible for a Conveyance Allowance.

If you live further than 4.8km from school and need to drive your child more than 2.4km to the closest bus stop, you may be eligible to receive a reimbursement for part of the costs. This is called a Conveyance Allowance.

More information, including eligibility criteria, can be found on the Ministry of Education website.

To apply for a Conveyance Allowance, click the 'Apply for Conveyance Allowance' button in this section. Part of the form needs to be completed by the school, they will be automatically notified once you have supplied the required information.

Students who travel on a bus may continue to do so while they behave in a reasonable and safe manner. An outline of what expected behaviour looks like can be found in the Student Bus Behaviour Expectations document.

If a student fails to comply with expected behaviours they may be asked to sign a code of conduct form and will have to adhere to the terms therein.

A copy of the Bus Behaviour Expectations and Bus Code of Conduct form can be downloaded from this section.
