As you may be aware, the Post Primary Teachers Association has voted in favour of industrial action on Wednesday 29 May. This means that Pukekohe High School will not be able to open for classes on that day, and therefore that students will have to stay at home. There will be a small group of teachers, who are not members of PPTA, at work on that day but not enough for any classes to run.

Any students who attend the Trades Academy at Manukau Institute of Technology are expected to attend their placement because it will not be affected by the industrial action.

It is possible that there will be further industrial action later this term and I will advise you of any future dates that will be affected as soon as the school is made aware of them.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
