ENGLISH DEPARTMENT  - CODE OF BEHAVIOUR


Standards required for all book work:
* All notes should be in blue or black pen (not red, green or pencil)
* Writing or printing may be used, but not block letters (except for headings and proper nouns)
* Writing should be neat and legible at all times
* Twink is not to be used
* Mistakes should be ruled out with a single line as follows: skool school
* All new work should have a tidy heading and the date
* All straight lines are to be ruled
* No graffiti in books
* We strongly encourage the appropriate covering of books.
* Take pride in your work

In class all students are expected to: 
* be punctual to class
* be in correct uniform
* stay seated unless told otherwise
* have correct books and equipment
* no eating or chewing
* raise hands to ask or answer questions
* listen while the teacher or another student is speaking in class
* respect their own and other people's property
* show politeness and consideration to others
* use appropriate language
* realise that no one has the right to interfere with anyone else's learning.
