Welcome to year 12 photography
This year’s course requires you to develop your own Personal theme.
This is only the starting point, the nature of your theme can take a
number of forms and may change as the year progresses; key concepts that
could be explored may centre on a strong personal interest (parties,
music, fishing, travel, relationships, or sport), personal standpoint,
your place in society, your own culture, the future.
This programme will involve students generating and developing ideas based on 3 assessed areas.
Research and document methods and ideas in the context of a drawing study in Photography. 2.1
Generate and develop ideas using drawing processes and procedures in Photography practice. 2.2
Produce a body of work within Photography to show understanding of art-making methods and ideas. 2.3
During the programme, students will have the
opportunity to create emulations of existing photographs which will
inform their own series of photographs which will build towards their
folio.
Within this programme of study, students will
be introduced to a wide range of photographers who will inform their
work and thinking. As well as be introduced to key photography skills
and concepts. They will have the opportunity to learn and use Adobe
Photoshop to manipulate their images and mock up boards.
They will need to complete 2 folio boards based
on their theme. The folio board will be worked on throughout the year
with various formative assessment points scheduled until all work is
completed and handed in during week 10 of Term 3.
