Music is consistently developing at Pukekohe, both in and out of the classroom.

Our nationally acclaimed Stage Band is one of Aucklands most successful jazz ensembles. Students have been recognised for their individual performances and the band has won numerous accolades.

The Senior Concert Band is enjoying success at a national level too and has grown in numbers to include 50 auditioned students.

We have a strong system of ensembles that feed into the premier ensembles.
In 2011 we were able to enter the KBB competition with two Jazz Bands: the Stage Band and the Big Band.

In the Classroom we have an established Band Program. Over 50% of the year 9 students take this option and learn an instrument. Band Class.
The 'core' classes are focused on guitar, bass and singing to provide a wide range of opportunities for all tastes. 9 Music.

The year 10 classes continue this trend and are split into 'Rock' and 'Band' classes.

The Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 classes have grown significantly and music proves to be a popular choice for higher study.
