Te Ara Poutama is a Year 10, year long authentic learning based program. It seeks to create a learning journey where students are actively seeking and creating knowledge through the process of participating in authentic learning opportunities. There are four key components of the program and these include;

· Big Blue Day: A skill based day with a focus on teamwork and building confidence.

· Camp Adair: A two day camp which will be held Week 1 of Term Two.

· Becoming an Entrepreneur: This is incorporated into the Year 10 Social Studies Programme. Students will learn about vision, initiative, optimism and resilience.

· Go 10 Challenge: A week long student lead challenge where students are encouraged to push themselves, learn new skills and participate in an authentic learning environment.

Our vision is to be a positive place of learning, where people are challenged and equipped to fulfil their potential and to achieve their aspirations.

Our goal is to be respected for the quality of our academic programmes; the opportunities we present to our students in the arts, culture, service and sports, and our pastoral care.

Our values are CLEAR and reflect our aspirations for all who are associated with the school.

Participation to promote the common good of our school and our community.

Learning through innovation, inquiry and curiosity as well as thinking critically, creatively and reflectively.

Aiming high and persevering both educationally and personally.
